University of Wisconsin - Madison Protocol for Canine LSA

Protocol

This is the UW-Madison Protocol for dogs with Lymphosarcoma.

(Do not treat your dog according to this information! I am not a vet nor do I guarantee the transcription of this protocol. Talk to a vet or canine oncologist about treatment.)

Week 1	Vincristine 0.7 mg/m^2 IV PreTx = Diphenhydramine 1mg/kg IM L-asparaginase 400 IU/kg IM (max 10,000 IU)
Week 2	Cytoxan 200 mg/m^2 IV or PO divided over 4 days (max dose 250mg) Prednisone 1.5mg/kg PO q 24 h
Week 3	Vincristine 0.7 mg/m^2 IV Prednisone 1mg/kg PO q 24 h
Week 4	PreTx = Diphenhydramine 1mg/kg IM Doxorubicin 30 mg/m^2 IV slow infusion Prednisone 0.5mg/kg PO q 24 h then discontinue
Week 5	no meds
Week 6	Vincristine 0.7 mg/m^2 IV
Week 7	Cytoxan 200 mg/m^2 IV or PO divided over 4 days (max dose 250mg)
Week 8	Vincristine 0.7 mg/m^2 IV
Week 9	PreTx = Diphenhydramine 1mg/kg IM Doxorubicin 30 mg/m^2 IV slow infusion
Week 10	no meds
Week 11	Vincristine 0.7 mg/m^2 IV
Week 12	no meds
Week 13	Chlorambucil (replaces Cytoxan if in complete remission) 1.4 mg/kg PO or Cytoxan 200 mg/m^2 IV or PO divided over 4 days (max dose 250mg)
Week 14	no meds
Week 15	Vincristine 0.7 mg/m^2 IV
Week 16	no meds
Week 17	Methotrexate 0.8 mg/kg IV or PO (max dose 25 mg)
Week 18	no meds
Week 19	Vincristine 0.7 mg/m^2 IV
Week 20	no meds
Week 21	Chlorambucil (replaces Cytoxan if in complete remission) 1.4 mg/kg PO or Cytoxan 200 mg/m^2 IV or PO divided over 4 days (max dose 250mg)
Week 22	no meds
Week 23	Vincristine 0.7 mg/m^2 IV
Week 24	no meds
Week 25	PreTx = Diphenhydramine 1mg/kg IM Doxorubicin 30 mg/m^2 IV slow infusion
Repeat..	Repeat weeks 11-25 at 3 week intervals for 1 cycle and then 4-week intervals, substituting mathotrexate for all doxorubicin. If disease free at Week 104, stop all therapy. Do not administer > 180 mg/m^2 cumulative dose of doxorubicin.
