What:

Kodi is a blue/silver brindle Akita from Lenmar Akitas. Far as I can tell, she's rare in the sense that she has a blue/silver brindle on her entire body, but with an American style Akita head. If you find another dog like her, I'd love to see it, the closest I've seen is Tora (Endo-Go-Tora di Casa Saporito) of Moellgaard and JD (Kari-On's Make Mine A Double Take "JD") of Double Take Ranch. My dog owning friend Kelli also found another Tora from Odate (Akita, Japan) on flickr. I also got email from a Chris about his dog Bam Bam. One of my dancing friends has a Ken kai named Taka.

Personal Info

This is my dog, Kodi T. Bear, TGD. Her name is short for "Kodiak The Bear, The Greatest Dog". She is an Akita, which is a Japanese Imperial Guard Dog. Although it isn't common knowledge, she is also The Greatest Dog In The World.

She was born on November 5th, 1992 and I got her on 1993/01/13, when she was almost 10 weeks old. She knows how to speak Japanese, French and English, and she is currently learning how to count and also how to bite people who ask her to 'shake.'

She has been to France, and has traveled throughout a number of the United States.

She was also the first dog in the world to have a home page, an email address, and be listed in the phone book. Simply more proof that she is, indeed, The Greatest Dog In The World.

Her phone listing has since been removed since she was mostly receiving calls from telemarketers and that makes her growl.
