Eon Prototype : Handmade Prototype Powers : Changed Names

Up

At the time these aliens were made it was not yet clear that we would have to make expansion sets. When we came face to face with the realities of production, we decided to spread the aliens over an as yet unspecified number of "Expansion Sets".

1973 Fixer

power of psychokinesis
controls roll of die

Description: The Fixer is a handmade version of one several alien names that never made it to the final Eon game. The graphic has nothing to do with the power, since it show a dictator-like alien flipping the destiny pile. The "die" referred to was from the very first Cosmic game which had a custom made dodecahedron you rolled to determine which alien to challenge. So, in effect, this was a precursor to the Dictator.

1973 Forger

power to replicate
keeps own challenge card

Description: The Forger is a handmade version of one several alien names that never made it to the final Eon game. The graphic was an uninspiring stack of paper. Forger was a precursor to the Clone.

1973 Mogul

power of accumulation
accumulates opponents' powers

Description: The Mogul is a handmade version of one several alien names that never made it to the final Eon game. Mogul def: "A member of the force that under Baber conquered India in 1526." The graphic might be a world domination abstract. Mogul power was ultimately transferred to the Plant. The Plant was an original of the first six Cosmic Aliens with the power to graft.

1973 Vampire

power to transpose souls
captures opponent's power

Description: The Vampire is a handmade version of one several alien names that never made it to the final Eon game. Vampire power was ultimately transferred to the Changling, but without the requirement of a winning challenge to make the transfer take effect.
